Dr Farooqi spent a lot of time with me listening to my health concerns and asked a lot of questions to help him understand as much as possible about my visit with him. He gave me the opportunity to share any extra information. And although I wasn’t sure and had a few questions he had a lot of patience and reassured me throughout.

Dr Farooqi spent time to listen and understand my symptoms and concerns, reading through my reports diligently. He took the time to explain any findings allowing me plenty of time to ask all my questions. He cares about his patients and clearly has a lot of knowledge in the area. Dr Farooqi is easily one of the best doctors I have seen in my lifetime.

Dr. Farooqi was absolutely brilliant.
I have never known a doctor of his vast experience and qualification to be so personable and spend so much time to listen and understand my concerns and explain each test and find.
He was really great. I left my appointment feeling at ease and so much more informed.
I would highly recommend him.

I must compliment Dr Farooqi as being a very diligent, competent and polite professional Cardiologist, who patiently explained with clarity my mother’s current worsening condition and all her test results. He gives a clear and concise rationale on how he was going to adjust her medications / treatment in order to rectify and improve her outcomes.
I am impressed as he keeps us updated with her ongoing results /treatment and explains in depth what the findings are as well as explaining his next course of action(s). He also keeps reassuring us in case we need to ask any further information to contact him directly.
As a result we already have seen an improvement in her health and are grateful for his valuable intervention and expertise in is field.

I am an award winning General Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in pacemaker devices and heart failure. I am also the Group Clinical Director for Medicine at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust. I have over 20 years experience in the management and investigation of all aspects of general adult cardiology including chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, blackouts (syncope), hypertension and arrhythmias.
I qualified in 1997 at the renowned United Medical and Dental School of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, University of London and completed my specialty training in the London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deaneries. I was appointed NHS Consultant in Cardiology at King George Hospital, Essex in 2012 and Honorary Consultant at Barts Heart Centre in London. I was Cardiology Clinical Lead from September 2019 to February 2023 and have since been promoted to Group Clinical Director of Medicine at BHRUT
